Things Just Happen When You Let Go of Control... Just Surrender

Sep 20, 2025

There’s a kind of exhaustion that sleep can’t fix.

It’s not physical, it’s the kind of tired that comes from trying so hard to hold it all together.

From constantly overthinking.

From gripping so tightly to what no longer feels aligned, simply because you’re afraid of what might happen if you let go.

Most of us were never taught how to surrender.

We were taught how to survive.

How to push through.

How to be strong and independent.

How to keep showing up, even when our hearts were heavy. How to fight for what we want, but not how to recognize when something has run its course.

So we hold on. To jobs. To timelines. To expectations.

To identities that may have served us once, but now only weigh us down.

We cling because it feels safer than the unknown.

But what if the only thing keeping you stuck is your resistance to letting go?

Nine months ago, I left my corporate job.

here’s a post for reference :)⬇️

Not because I had it all figured out, I didn’t.

I had no backup plan. No promise of what was next. Just a knowing.

A quiet, persistent voice in my body that said, “This isn’t your path anymore.” I couldn’t explain it, but I couldn’t ignore it either.

I’d outgrown the version of me that could keep showing up to a life that no longer felt like mine.

So I made the choice. I walked away. I surrendered.

And to be honest, it wasn’t pretty. It wasn’t peaceful at first.

It was messy, emotional, terrifying. I cried a lot. I questioned everything.

I had to sit with all the fears I had been avoiding, fears about money, about success, about worth. There were days when I thought I made a huge mistake. Days when I wanted to crawl back to the comfort of what was familiar, even if it didn’t feel true anymore.

But in the quiet, after the unraveling, came something else.

Space. Stillness. Breath. A different kind of strength.

Fast forward to today, I’ve been in Manila for a month.

I didn’t come here to chase anything. I came to reconnect, to explore.. to be curious.

To let life move through me again.

To breathe.

And somehow, even without pushing or trying, things are happening.

Opportunities are unfolding. Conversations are aligning.

And they’re not coming from pressure, they’re coming from presence.

Just a few days ago, I had the honor of working with Miss Rachel, the CEO of New Lounge, as they prepare to open a wellness space here in the Philippines, Energë.

Here’s a photo of us, the facilitators with Miss Rachel at Makati Shangrila

It was one of those moments where everything just clicked.

The right people. The right timing. The right energy.

I didn’t chase it, it found me.

And I know exactly why. Because I surrendered.

This is what no one really talks about…

When you let go of control, things move. Life opens.

When you stop gripping so tightly to how things “should” be, you finally make space for what’s truly meant for you.

Surrender isn’t weakness.

It’s a form of wisdom.

It’s a brave decision to stop fighting what’s no longer aligned and start trusting what’s unfolding. It’s a sacred pause. A deep exhale.

A full-body yes to what’s true, even when you don’t have all the answers.

It’s choosing to trust the voice inside you when everything on the outside feels uncertain. It’s choosing to believe in possibility, even when you can’t see the proof yet. It’s learning how to receive. How to be led. How to believe that you are supported, even in the unknown.

So if you’re in the middle of a letting go, of a transition, a release, an identity shift…

I see you.

If you feel like you’re in between who you used to be and who you’re becoming, I want you to know that you’re not alone.

And you’re not failing.

You’re evolving.

You’re learning how to stop forcing.

You’re learning how to soften.

You’re remembering how to trust yourself again.

And yes, the fall is scary.

The free-fall that happens when you let go of everything you’ve been holding is disorienting. It might feel like everything is unraveling, but sometimes, the unraveling is the very thing that sets you free.

Because here’s what I know:

The bottom of the cliff isn’t destruction. It’s not chaos. It’s not regret.

It’s peace. It’s clarity.

It’s the soft landing your soul has been craving.

It’s the version of you that’s been waiting to rise, and she needed you to let go first.

You don’t need to have it all figured out.

You just need to listen.

You just need to let yourself feel.

You just need to trust that everything that’s meant for you is not far away, it’s already on its way to you. And maybe it’s just waiting for you to make space.

Let go.

Not because you’re weak, but because you’re ready to live from truth, not fear.

Let life meet you.

Let the magic unfold. Let the timing be what it is.

Stop holding on to what no longer feels like home.

You don’t have to do it perfectly. You just have to begin.

Surrender. The rest will come.

See you on the other side,
